Silver & Aventurine Ring by Heikki Kaksonen for Kaunis Koru, Helsinki
This beautiful mid-century ring features a deep green cabochon aventurine that rises from a rounded, domed silver setting. The substantial silver form curves around the stone, emphasising its rounded shape and complementing its lovely green colour.
Designed and handcrafted by Helsinki-based jeweller Heikki Kaksonen (registered 1922–1969), the piece captures the understated elegance and modernist spirit of Nordic jewellery from the era, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of Finnish design.
The ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'HK (designer), crown motif (Finland), '916H' (Silver Purity), Helsinki motif, 'N7' (year) & 'KK' (maker).
It is in excellent vintage condition, with minor signs of wear consistent with age and careful use. The band retains its original shape. The stone remains whole and smooth and is secure within its setting, with some movement within the mount.
This ring is a small/medium size. It is an AU size L 1/2 (EU 51 & US 6) with an internal diameter of 16.41 mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
