Pressed glass vase by Vladislav Urban for Sklo Union Rosice

This heavy vase features aquamarine pressed glass with an abstract relief pattern. It was designed by Vladislav Urban (1937 - 2022), who was part of the first generation of glassmakers after the second world war to adopt the pressed glass technique. His work was often compared with fellow glass designer Frantisek Vízner. Urban's works are characterised by interesting textures and geometric shapes.

This model '617/13' was designed for Sklo Union Rosice in 1968. It is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
