Handblown Glass Vase by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta

This striking handblown mid-century vase was designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta glassworks in the 50’s. The tear-drop form features an internal amber core surrounded by purple threads all cased in solid clear crystal. The purple threads create a beautiful lattice pattern effect, especially when viewed at different angles. This series is more commonly found in blue and green, whereas this colouring is much harder to find. 

This vase is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration. This piece has not been signed as it has an internal air bubble from the glassblowing process. This imperfection does not take away from the overall beautiful impression of this gorgeous vase.
