Handblown Glass Vase by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta

This striking handblown mid-century vase was designed by Vicke Lindstrand for Kosta glassworks in the 50’s. The semi-oval form features an internal amber core surrounded by purple threads all cased in solid clear crystal. The purple threads create a beautiful lattice pattern effect, especially when viewed at different angles. This series is more commonly found in blue and green, whereas this colouring is much harder to find. 

Engraved on the underside of this vase is ‘Kosta (maker) LH (Lindstrand + hand-formed) 1587 (model/year)’ This vase is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
