Engraved on the underside of this vase is ‘Kosta (maker) LS (Lindstrand + Cut/Sanded glass) 162 (production number/year)’ The vase is in excellent condition. There are no notches, cracks, discolouration or repairs.

This original mid-century handblown vase features solid clear crystal with internal black swirls and decorative incisions reminiscent of abstract fish moving through a net. The movement that this creates in the vase is stunning and the scene changes at different angles. This vase is a testament to Lindstrand's early works that explored the optic possibilities that cut glass allowed.

This vase is included in the beautiful book 'Vicke Lindstrand On the Periphery' by Mark Ian Jones on pg.214. I have included an image.
