Engraved on the underside of this vase is ‘LS (Lindstrand + sanded glass) 2653 (production number/year)’ Featuring super solid handblown crystal in an asymmetrical design with a biomorphic shaped cavity and cutting on one side that is reflected in the whole piece. The overall impression of this vase is very good - no notches, heavy scratches, cracks or repairs.

The series 'Contrast by Asymmetry' was designed by Vicke Lindstrand in the 50's. Notably, it featured in a 1957 exhibition by design retailers Georg Jensen and Bonniers in New York and received outstanding praise by The New York Times.  This vase is also featured in Decorative Art Year Book by Studio Vista published 1958 & I have included an image.
