Sterling Silver & Spectrolite Ring by Valon Kulta & Hopea, Finland

This statement ring features a substantial cabochon of dark blue spectrolite, set within a sleek bezel. The wide, minimalist band gives the piece a strong, sculptural presence, while the stone’s deep inky tones reveal flashes of luminous blue. With its bold proportions and restrained form, the ring reflects the clean, refined aesthetic of Nordic Modernist jewellery of the 1970s.

Spectrolite is a rare and exceptionally hard variety of labradorite found only in Finland. Celebrated for its luminous flashes of colour, it is believed to be a powerful protective stone that enhances intuition, deepens spiritual awareness, and inspires inner clarity and transformation.

The inner band is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: Valon motif (maker), '925' (silver purity), Turku motif (city), 'Y7' (year) & 'Made in Finland'. 

The ring is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The spectrolite has natural inclusions but remains smooth and undamaged, and sits securely within its setting. The band retains its original shape. The setting measures approx. 20mm X 18mm.
