14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Toivo J. Toponen for Kaunis Koru

This jaw-dropping Modernist ring features 14k solid gold that frames a stunning cabochon cut rutile quartz. The stone, also known as 'angel or Venus hair', has beautiful golden strand-like inclusions. Used since ancient times in talismans, it is believed to amplify energy, promote healing, and enhance psychic awareness. 

Kanis Koru, founded in 1956 and acquired in 1989, always acknowledged artist's designs with their initials. 

The ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'TJT' (designer), the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold), city motif (Lahti), 'N7' (year) and 'KK' (maker). 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The beautiful natural stone remains whole and measures 26mm X 24mm. It sits firmly in the setting. The thick band retains its original shape. 

This ring is medium/large size. It is an AU size Q (EU 57.5 & US 8.25) with an internal diameter of 18.3mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
