Cast Glass Bowl by Tauno Wirkkala for Humppila, Finland

This beautiful Brutalist bowl features clear and honey amber cast glass. It was designed by Tauno Wirkkala (1932 - 2005), who worked for various famous Finnish glassworks - including Muurla, which he helped establish in the '70s. He is best known for his nature inspired designs of vibrant green or amber tones. Talent must have run in the family as his brother was the celebrated designer Tapio Wirkkala.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
