Hand-blown Glass Vase by Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors, Sweden.

This vase features super solid clear crystal hand-blown into a teardrop form with ovoid cavity. The minimal Modernist form is really beautiful. It was designed by the renowned Swedish glass artist Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors glassworks in the late ’50s.

Etched on the underside of this vase is ‘Orrefors (maker) PU (designer + uncut smooth glass) 3032-127 (model/production number)'. This piece is in good vintage condition with some visible signs of surface wear commensurate with age and use (eg. water staining and scratches). It has no notches, cracks or repairs.
