Handblown Glass Vase by Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors

This vase features clear solid smokey-blue crystal handblown into a teardrop form with biomorphic cavity. The minimal Modernist form is really beautiful. It was designed by the renowned Swedish glass artist Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors glassworks in the late ’50s.

This piece is in excellent condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration. Etched on the underside of this vase is ‘Orrefors (maker) PU (designer + uncut smooth glass) 3632 (design/production number).
