Handblown Glass Vase by Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors

Etched on the underside of this vase is ‘Orrefors (maker) PU (designer + uncut smooth glass) 3047/2 (design/production number). It carries the original Orrefors label used between 1920 – 1950, which indicates early production. The label would have appeared metallic red, which has mostly worn off and now appears silver.

This beautiful Modernist bowl features handblown clear crystal that encases a ruby red underlay. It is in excellent condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
