Hand-blown Crystal Vase by Studio Daum Nancy, France
This exceptionally beautiful hand-blown vase is crafted from solid citrine-coloured crystal, featuring delicate internal bullicante. Its substantial, organic form is defined by a subtle, elegant twist, while the warm, transparent colour lends the piece a beautiful luminosity. Sculptural and impressive in scale, it makes a striking statement piece.
The Daum family established Daum studio in Nancy, France during the Art Nouveau period in 1878. Under the Daum brothers, Auguste and Antonin, the glass studio became one of the most prestigious in France and successfully transitioned to the Art Deco period.
Importantly, this piece is signed 'Daum Nancy France' with the iconic Lorraine cross near the base. It is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
