18k Gold & Green Stone Ring by Stjärnagat G-Firma AP Platbarzdi, Stockholm

This elegant and eye-catching mid-century ring features a wide 18k gold band that holds a beautiful scissor cut forrest-green stone. It was made in Stockholm by Stjärnagat G-Firma AP Platbarzdi. The Swedish company existed from 1954 until 1960 and used the maker's mark 'APP'. Due to its short existence, it is rare to come across pieces by this maker.

The ring is fully stamped with the hallmarks 'APP' (maker), the Stockholm motif, the three crowns motif (Sweden), 18k (material) & 'E9' (year). The crown motif and the year date have faded and were difficult to photograph. 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) with a perfect stone. The ring retains its original shape and the stone sits firmly in the setting. 

It is a size M 1/2 (EU 52 & US 6.5) with an internal diameter of 16.92 mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
