Silver & Spectrolite Bracelet by S. Korhonen, Finland
This striking cuff bracelet, designed and handcrafted in 1975 by Helsinki-based jeweller S. Korhonen (active 1967–1984), exemplifies bold Nordic modernism. Formed in polished silver, the sculptural open cuff frames two raw squares of spectrolite - each stone left in its natural state to celebrate its organic texture and depth.
Spectrolite is a hard and rare variety of labradorite found only in Finland! It is believed to be a transformative protective stone that awakens intuition, strengthens psychic awareness, and brings inner clarity.
This bracelet is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: S. Korhonen motif (maker), crown motif (Finland), '830' (silver purity) & 'X7' (year).
It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) and retains its original shape well. The stones sit firmly in their settings.
The bracelet is oval shaped and a medium to large size. As the opening allows some flexibility, it can either be worn loosely or snug. It measures 65mm X 58mm and is 24mm wide. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a bracelet you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
