Pressed glass vase by Rosice Glassworks, Czechoslovakia

This beautiful heavy vase features forrest-green pressed glass with wavy handles and weighted base. Many Czech glass artists during this period adopted the pressed glass technique, which allowed them to experiment with different optical effects, interesting textures and geometric shapes.

This model '1272' was designed for Rosice in the '70s. Rosice glassworks was founded in 1920 and became part of the Sklo Union group in 1965.

It is in good vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration. There is some visible wear commensurate with age and use including a small impact mark - please see close up photo.
