14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Rauni Hevonoja

Make a statement with this incredible sculptural Modernist ring, which features an exquisite faceted smoky quartz enclosed by a solid 14k gold grid. The elegant and bold custom design was created by Rauni Hevonoja, who was registered as a jeweller in Helsinki from 1959 until 1975.

The ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: 'HO' (designer/maker), the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold), city motif (Helsinki) and 'R7' (year). The number of the year stamp is faint, however, the 'R' for the jeweller's registration period indicates it is dated 1970. 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) with a perfect smoky quartz. The thick band retains its original shape. The face of the ring measures 24mm x 20mm and sits 14mm high from the band.

The ring is a medium/large size. It is an AU size Q 1/2 (EU 58.5 & US 8.5) with an internal diameter of 18.54 mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
