14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Pendant by Pekka Piekäinen for Auran Kultaseppä, Finland
This stunning Modernist pendant features 14k solid gold that highlights two beautiful smoky quartz cabochon bullets. It was designed by the renowned Finnish jeweller and metalsmith Pekka Piekäinen during his time as chief designer at Auran Kultaseppä, a position he held from 1971 to 1989.
Pekka Piekäinen (1945–2004) was celebrated for his minimalist watch and jewellery designs, inspired by nature and everyday life. In 2002, the Finnish Goldsmith Association honoured him with the prestigious title of 'Goldsmith of the Year'.
The back of the pendant is stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: Auran Kultaseppä motif (maker), crown motif (Finland) & '585' (14k gold).
It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The stones sit firmly in their settings.
The pendant measures 60mm long X 22mm wide. The chain is not included but your favourite chain can easily be threaded through.
