Sterling Silver Bracelet by Pekka Piekäinen for Auran Kultaseppä, Finland
This elegant sterling silver cuff bracelet showcases a refined minimalist design. Known as the Twisted Bracelet, it was created by renowned Finnish jeweller and metalsmith Pekka Piekäinen during his tenure as chief designer at Auran Kultaseppä, a role he held from 1971 to 1989.
Pekka Piekäinen (1945–2004) was celebrated for his minimalist jewellery and watch designs, drawing inspiration from nature and everyday life. In 2002, he was awarded the prestigious title of Goldsmith of the Year by the Finnish Goldsmith Association in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Finnish design.
This bracelet is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: Auran motif (maker), crown motif (Finland), '925' (silver purity), Turku motif (city) & 'K8' (year).
It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) and retains its original shape well. It has some light visible surface wear commensurate with age and use.
The bracelet is oval shaped and medium sized. As the opening allows some flexibility, it can either be worn loosely or snug. It measures 58mm X 45mm and is 20mm wide. If you're unsure about sizing, measure a bracelet you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
