18k Gold & Yellow Sapphire Ring by Paavo Matiskainen, Finland

This stunning original Modernist ring features handcrafted solid 18k gold with a beautiful large faceted yellow sapphire in a raised setting. It was designed and made in 1976 by Paavo Matiskainen, which was established in Mikkeli in 1953. 

This ring is fully stamped with 'PIM' (maker), crown motif (Finland), '750' (18k gold), 'Y7' (year). It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) and the band retains its original shape. The stone sits firmly in the setting and has been tested by a jeweller. 

This ring is a size R (EU 59 & US 8.75) with an internal diameter of 18.75 mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
