Handmade 18k Gold & Citrine pendant by Ove Urban Bohlin, Stockholm

This beautiful original mid-century pendant features solid 18k gold that frames a very large cabochon cut pale citrine. It was designed and handcrafted by the well known Swedish jeweller Ove Urban Bohlin (1928–74) for his business in Stockholm, which was active from 1954 until his death in 1974. Bohlin's pieces are usually in silver, which makes this pendant a rare find!

The pendant is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks 'OUB' (maker), Stockholm motif, three crowns motif (Sweden) '18k' (material) & 'K9' (year). 

It is in excellent vintage condition with some light signs of wear commensurate with age and use. The natural citrine remains whole and smooth with some minor discolouration at the base on one side (see photo 3). It sits firmly in the setting. 

The chain is not included. The pendant can easily be threaded on a chunkier chain.
