Hand-blown Glass Vase by Nils Landberg for Orrefors, Sweden. 

This sommerso vase features very solid Orrefors clear crystal that encases a beautiful ruby red underlay. Similar models were designed by Nils Landberg for his Dusk series, which were in olive green and dark blue. This rarer find is from Landberg's Expo series for Orrefors, which were limited runs. 

Etched on the underside of this vase is ‘Orrefors Expo (maker), 299-56 (production number/year) Nils Landberg (designer)’ It is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration. There is some scratching on the underside of the vase commensurate with age and use.
