14k Gold & Amethyst Ring by N. Westerback, Finland

This lovely ring features solid 14k gold that holds faceted oval amethyst. It was handcrafted by the atelier N. Westerback in Helsinki, which was registered under the maker's mark 'NW' between 1897 and 1969. (Originally to Nestor Westerback and later to Eino Westerback in 1919). 

The inner band is stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: 'NW' (maker),'585' (14k gold) & crown motif (Finland) & 'Y7'. 

The ring is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The stone measures 14mm X 10mm and sits firmly in the setting. The band retains its original shape well.

The ring is a medium/large size. It is an AU size P 1/2 (EU 57 & US 8) with a 18.14mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
