14k Gold & Amethyst Ring by N. Westerback, Finland

This beautiful Modernist statement ring features solid 14k gold with a large faceted amethyst in a raised claw setting. It was handcrafted in 1962 by the atelier N. Westerback in Helsinki, which was registered between 1897 and 1969. (Originally to Nestor Westerback and later to Eino Westerback in 1919). 

It is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'NW' (maker),'585' (14k gold), crown motif (Finland), boat motif (Helsinki) & 'I7' (year). 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) with a perfect amethyst. The stone sits firmly in the setting and the band retains its original shape. 

The lovely stone has a 15mm diameter. The band is a medium size. It is an AU size N (EU 53.8 & US 6.75) with a 17.1mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
