Handblown Sommerso Glass Vase by Mona Morales-Schildt for Kosta

This original mid-century sommerso vase features super solid clear crystal with a beautiful amber underlay. It was designed by Mona Morales-Schildt (1908 - 1999), who was one of Sweden's leading glass artists in the 20th century. This design comes in a variety of sizes, including miniature versions. This model is one of the larger ones. 

Engraved on the underside of this vase is ‘Kosta (maker) SH (Schildt + hand-formed) 5183 (production number)’ It is in very good condition with no notches, cracks, discolouration or repairs. There is some very minor visible surface wear commensurate with age and use.
