Silver & Sunstone Pendant by Martti Viikinniemi, Finland

This beautiful Modernist pendant features silver that frames a stunning sparkling sunstone. It was designed and made by Finnish jeweller Martti Viikinniemi, who was registered in Heinola from 1946 until 1974.

Sunstones, which are found in Scandinavia, symbolise leadership and self-empowerment. They are believed to bring positivity, joy and protection to the wearer!

The pendant is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'MV (designer/maker), crown motif (Finland) & 813H (silver purity). It is in excellent vintage condition with a perfect sunstone that sits firmly in the setting.

The pendant has a 26mm diameter. The stone measures 14mm X 10mm.
