Mould-blown crystal water candlestick by Lindshammar, Sweden

This tall candlestick features clear crystal with a textured surface reminiscent of ice. The hollow pillar and bowl is designed to hold a tapper candle with water. As the candle burns it remains floating on the top. The combination of these elements (crystal, water and fire) is very beautiful. 

The design was produced by Lindshammar glassworks in the later part of the 20th century.  Lars Sestervik was possibly the designer. 

The candlestick still carries the original Lindshammar label. It is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs and discolouration. The pillar fits a standard tapper candle with a 2/2.5cm diameter.
