14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Necklace by Kaunis Koru, Finland

This elegant original Modernist necklace features a solid 14k gold pendant that beautifully frames a large faceted smoky quartz and hangs on a lovely gold chain. It was designed and handcrafted by Kaunis Koru in 1969. Kanis Koru was founded in Helsinki in 1956 and later acquired in 1989. It is well known for its geometric modern style that used stones native to Finland.

The pendant is fully stamped with Finnish hallmarks including the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold), city motif (Helskini), Q7 (year) and 'KK' (maker). It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) with a perfect smoky quartz. 

The chain is also stamped with hallmarks, including the the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold) & city motif (Helskini). It is approximately 20 inches (50cm) long and in excellent vintage condition with a perfectly functioning clasp.
