18k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Karl-Ingemar Johansson for Högberg & Co Silversmederna, Gothenburg

This stunning sculptural ring features solid 18k gold that beautifully highlights a large bezel-set faceted smoky quartz. The elevated setting gives it a dramatic, architectural profile. Exquisitely crafted, it was designed by the renowned Swedish jeweller Karl-Ingemar Johansson (1927 - 1997) for Gothenburg jeweller Högberg & Co. 

The ring is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks: 'H&Co' (maker), Gothenburg motif, three crowns motif (Sweden), '18k' (material)  'N9' (year) & 'KIJ' (designer).

It is in excellent condition (outstanding for age). The stone has a diameter of 19.5mm and sits firmly in the setting. The band retains its original shape. 

The ring is a small size. It is an AU size J 1/2 (EU 49 & US 5) with a 15.7mm diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.

The band can be resized.
