14k Gold Ring by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus Oy, Finland

This stunning heavy Brutalist ring features an abstract design in solid 14k gold. It was designed by Jorma Laine and handcrafted in 1970. The design is more commonly found in bronze, making this a very rare example in solid gold. 

Jorma Laine is regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in Nordic jewellery design, known for his significant contribution to the modernist movement through abstract, organic, and metal-based forms. 

This ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks:  Kultateollisuus motif (maker), heart motif (Finland), '585' (14k gold), Turku motif & 'R7' (year). 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The band retains its original shape.

The ring is medium sized. It is an AU O 1/2 (EU 56 & US 7.5) with a 17.73mm inner diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. This ring can be resized.
