Handformed Glass Vase by Hugo Gehlin for Gullaskruf
This rare beautifully heavy vase features handblown glass with delicate golden tint. The vase has an interesting form reminiscent of a cactus and would slide very well into a contemporary interior.
Hugo Gehlin (1889 - 1953) was a Swedish painter, graphic artist and sculptor. Gehlin worked at Gullaskruf glassworks from 1929 until 1953. He is represented as an artist in many Swedish museums.
Etched on the underside of this vase is ‘Gehlin, Gullaskruf'. This vase is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks or repairs. There is some superficial internal coating commensurate with age and use.
