These stunning mould-blown transparent blue glasses belong to Henrik Koivula's
Fantasia series, which he designed for Humppila glassworks in the 70s. They have a lovely sculptural quality that interacts with the light beautifully!
Each glass is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration. The listing is for a set of four.
Brutalism emerged in the 1950’s and grew out of the early 20th century Modernist movement. The term comes from the French words ‘beton brut’, which means raw concrete. This is quite fitting given the characteristics of Brutalism – rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy looking materials and straight lines.
