14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Heikki Kaksonen for Kaunis Koru, Helsinki

These elegant rare Modernist earrings each feature a large oval cabochon smoky quartz framed in 14K gold, set within an elongated openwork setting with small bead details at either end. Long, gently curved hooks complete the design, creating a graceful silhouette.

These earrings are the matching version of the ring model by Olavi Nupponen. At the time, Kaunis Koru pieces were often produced by different ateliers, with the ring and matching earrings sometimes made by separate workshops. 

The hook is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: 'HK' (designer), the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold), city motif (Helsinki) & 'I7' (year). 

The pair are in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) with perfectly functioning clasps. They measure approx. 24mm long (including hook) by 8mm wide.
