14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Hans Berg for Kaunis Koru

This lovely original Modernist ring features 14k rose gold that frames a large faceted square smoky quartz. The elegant piece was designed by Hans Berg (registered in Helsinki from 1967 until 1991) for Kaunis Koru in 1969.

Kanis Koru, founded in 1956 and acquired in 1989, always acknowledged artist's designs with their initials. 

The ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'VHB' (designer), the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold), city motif (Helsinki), 'Q7' (year) and 'KK' (maker). 

It is in good vintage condition. The band (8mm wide) retains its original shape and has some light signs of surface wear commensurate with age and use. The beautiful natural stone remains whole and measures 12mm X 12mm. It sits firmly in the setting. 

This ring is medium sized. It is an AU size N 1/2 (EU 55 & US 7) with a 17.32mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
