18k Gold & Tourmaline Quartz Ring by Ge-Kå Smyckek G Kaplan, Stockholm
This beautiful original Modernist ring features solid 18k gold that holds a polished tourmaline quartz bullet. It was designed and handcrafted by Ge-Kå Smyckek in 1967. Ge-Kå Smyckek G Kaplan was registered in Stockholm, Sweden from 1945 until 1971.
Tourmaline quartz is the stunning combination of clear quartz with black tourmaline inclusions. It is believed to balance energies, enhance clarity, and provide protection from negativity while amplifying positive intentions.
The band is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks 'GK' (maker), Stockholm motif, three crowns motif (Sweden), '18k' (material) and 'R9' (year).
This ring is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The stone sits firmly in the setting and the band retains its original shape well.
This band is a medium/large size. It is an AU size P 1/2 (EU 57 & US 8) with a 18.44mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
