18k Gold & Sunstone Ring by Erland Söderbergs Guldsmedsverkstad, Västerås

This beautiful mid-century ring features a shimmering polished oval sunstone that is elegantly framed by solid 18k gold. It was designed and handcrafted by Swedish jeweller Erland Söderbergs in 1946. 

Sunstones symbolise vitality, personal power, and the warmth of the sun. They often are associated with positive energy, growth, and the light of truth.

The ring is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks: 'ESG' (designer/maker), Västerås motif, the three crowns motif (Sweden), '18k' (material) & 'U8' (year).

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The stone sits firmly in the setting and the band retains its original shape well. There is an internal engraving.

This ring is medium/large size. It is an AU size Q (EU 57.5 & US 8.25) with an internal diameter of 18.3mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
