Handblown Glass Vase by Erik Höglund for Boda
This beautiful heavy vase features handblown transparent white glass with internal bubbles. It was designed by famous Swedish artist Erik Höglund (1932–1998) for Boda glassworks sometime during his 20 year tenure as a designer there. Boda was absorbed by the Afors group in 1971 and later became known as Kosta Boda in 1976.
Höglund diverged from design trends at the time to produce his own unique style that centred on simple and primordial forms. Despite the Swedish market being initially unsure about Höglund's work, he went on to international acclaim and won the prestigious Danish Lunning Prize.
This vase is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
