14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta, Finland

This elegant original Modernist ring features high quality solid 14k gold with a beautiful large facetted smoky quartz. It was designed by the famous Elis Kauppi for his workshop Kupittaan Kulta. 

Elis Kauppi (1924-2004) is known for his sophisticated Modernist designs that incorporated stones native to Finland. His innovative approach that centred on simplicity and form, put Finland at the forefront of jewellery design during the mid-century period. Kauppi's work has been exhibited internationally, including Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and the Pforzheim Jewellery Museum in Germany.

This ring is fully stamped with the anvil motif (maker), '585' (14k gold) & 'Finland'. It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) with perfect smoky quartz.

This ring is a size O (EU 55 & US 7.5) with a 17.5mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
