14k Gold & Rock Crystal Pendant by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta, Finland
This elegant original Modernist pendant features a beautiful faceted clear rock crystal that is framed by a solid 14k gold three-leaf clover design. It was designed by the famous Elis Kauppi and made by his workshop Kupittaan Kulta in the second half of the 20th century.
Elis Kauppi (1924-2004) is known for his sophisticated Modernist designs that incorporated stones native to Finland. His innovative approach that centred on simplicity and form, put Finland at the forefront of jewellery design during the mid-century period. Kauppi's work has been exhibited internationally, including Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Paris and the Pforzheim Jewellery Museum in Germany.
This pendant is fully stamped with the anvil motif (maker), crown motif (Finland) & 585 (14k gold). It is in excellent vintage condition with perfect quartz.
