14k Gold & Smoky Quartz Ring by Eero Rislakki for N. Westerback

This stunning Modernist ring features solid 14k gold that frames four faceted square smoky quartz. It was beautifully designed by award-winning industrial engineer and designer Eero Rislakki (1924-2017) for N. Westerback Oy, Helsinki in 1960.

The Helsinki based atelier N. Westerback was registered between 1897 and 1969 - originally to Nestor Westerback and later to Eino Westerback in 1919. 

The ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks 'NW' (maker), the crown (Finland), '585' (14k gold), city motif (Helsinki), 'G7' (year) & 'ER' (designer) . 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The stones sit firmly in their settings. The thick band is 10mm wide and retains its original shape. The inner band has a personal engraving. 

This ring is a medium size. It is an AU size N (EU 53.8 & US 6.75) with a 17.1mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
