Hand-blown crystal vase by studio Daum Nancy, France

This gorgeous heavy vase features hand-blown transparent citrine crystal with internal bullicante. The organic sinuous form has an undulating fluted rim, which casts a beautiful silhouette. 

The Daum family established Daum studio in Nancy, France during the Art Nouveau period in 1878. Under the Daum brothers, Auguste and Antonin, the glass studio became one of the most prestigious in France and successfully transitioned  to the Art Deco period.

Importantly, this piece is signed 'Daum Nancy France' with the iconic Lorraine cross near the base. It is in excellent vintage condition with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration. It has some very minor visible surface wear at base commensurate with age and use.
