14k Gold & Purple Stone Ring by Auran Kultaseppä, Finland

This beautiful Modernist ring features handcrafted solid 14k gold with a large faceted square purple stone (possibly amethyst) in a raised setting. It was designed and made by the well known Finnish jeweller Auran Kultaseppä Oy (1937-1995) in Turku, 1964. 

This ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: Auran Kultaseppä motif (maker), crown motif (Finland), '585' (14k gold), Turku motif (city) 'L7' (year).

It is in excellent vintage condition. The stone (15mm X 15mm) remains whole and sits firmly in the setting. The lovely thick band retains its original shape well. It has a personal engraving.

The ring is a small size. It is an AU size L (EU 51 & US 5.75) with a 16.3mm diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
