14k Gold & Amethyst Ring by Auran Kultaseppä, Finland

This beautiful Modernist ring features handcrafted solid 14k gold with a large faceted square pale-amethyst in a raised setting. It was designed and made by the well known Finnish jeweller Auran Kultaseppä Oy (1937-1995) in Turku, 1964. 

This ring is fully stamped with the Finnish hallmarks: Auran Kultaseppä motif (maker), crown motif (Finland), '585' (14k gold), Turku motif (city) 'L7' (year).

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age) and the lovely thick band retains its original shape well. The natural amethyst remains whole and sits firmly in the setting. It measures 15mm X 15mm. 

This ring is a small size. It is an AU size K (EU 50 & US 5.25) with a 15.9mm internal diameter. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size. The band can be resized.
