A sommerso vase featuring solid clear handblown crystal that encases a translucent ombre underlay of copper and amber tones. It has a beautiful tear-drop form and biomorphic-shaped cavity with a narrow opening ideal for long stems.

This example may have been designed by Gunnar Nylund or earlier designs may have inspired Asta Strömberg to create this piece, as she also designed for Strömbergshyttan glassworks during the mid-century period and commonly used these colours.

The vase carries its original label and is in excellent condition (outstanding for age) with no notches, cracks, repairs or discolouration.
