Sterling Silver & Jade Ring by Andreas Mikkelsen, Copenhagen

This striking sterling silver design is set with a bold rectangular green jade cabochon. The sculptural open geometric shank and clean architectural lines beautifully frame the vivid jade, embodying the minimalist aesthetic of Danish modernist jewellery.

A rare and highly collectible piece, it was created by jeweller Andreas Mikkelsen, who was registered in Copenhagen from 1970 to 1978.

The ring is fully stamped with the Danish hallmarks: 'Denmark' (country), Andreas Mikkelsen, '925S' (silver purity) & '88' (model). 

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The band retains its original shape and the stone (18mm) sits securely in the setting. 

The ring features a U-shaped band rather than a traditional circular one and is designed to be slipped onto the finger sideways before being rotated into position. This thoughtful design allows the substantial ring to sit securely and comfortably on the finger.

This ring is a medium size. It is an AU size M (EU 52 & US 6.25) with an internal diameter of approximately 16.7mm. If you're unsure about sizing, it is recommended that you measure a ring you currently wear to see if you're a similar size.
