18k Gold & Rock Crystal Pendant by Alpo Tammi for Örneus Guldsmeds, Sweden

This beautiful Brutalist pendant, expertly handcrafted in solid 18k gold, features an organic web-like design centred around a luminous rock crystal. Designed by Alpo Tammi for the Swedish jeweller Örneus Guldsmeds in 1974, it is a striking example of Scandinavian modernist craftsmanship and his distinctive artistic vision.

Alpo Tammi was a skilled Finnish designer and metalsmith who favoured working in gold over other precious metals. A visionary designer, his work closely reflected emerging trends in the fashion industry.

The bail is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks 'OÖG' (maker), three crown motif (Sweden), 18k (material) and 'Z9' (year).

It is in excellent vintage condition (outstanding for age). The stone sits firmly in the setting. 

The chain is not included but the bail easily allows for your favourite chain to be threaded through.
