18k Gold & Quartz Pendant by Alpo Tammi for Örneus Guldsmeds, Sweden

This stunning handcrafted Brutalist pendant was designed by the famous Alpo Tammi for Örneus Guldsmeds, Alvsjö in 1974. It features solid 18k gold with a beautiful web pattern that holds a quartz at the centre. 

Alpo Tammi was a skilled Finnish designer and metalsmith, who favoured working in gold over other precious metals. Known as a visionary, his work was closely aligned with emerging trends in the fashion industry. 

The bail is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks 'OÖG' (maker), three crown motif (Sweden), 18k (material) and 'Z9' (year). It is in excellent vintage condition and the stone sits firmly in the setting. 

The chain is not included but the bail easily allows for your favourite chain to be threaded through.
