Engraved on the underside of this vase is ‘Kosta (maker) 46451 (production number/year) Lindstrand (designer)’ & 'Minne från Åhléns' as well as the previous owner's Swedish security number.

This hand blown original mid-century vase by the famous designer Vicke Lindstrand is made of incredibly solid crystal (over 3kg!) that encases an array of colours. These colours change when viewed at different angles, which is truly a beautiful effect! The vase is in outstanding condition with virtually no visible wear with the exception of the added engraved Swedish security number on the underside (see image).

It is my understanding that this vase, titled 'Minne från Åhléns' or Memory from Åhléns (in english), was created for company Åhléns and given as a gift, which makes this particular piece quite unique.
